I have always been a musician & performer. Although I spend most of my time on the other side of the glass now, I look back on my 16 years playing gigs & writing music with a critical ear – the nuances are what take a performance over the edge. I think mixing recordings requires a performance of its own, and approaching a mix with a musician’s mind helps me make better technical decisions. Having grown up around computers and various DAWs, I developed a quick familiarity with the accompanying flexibility and have since made substantial investments in the newest digital audio and DSP processors, allowing for professional, high-powered sessions and great sound in-studio or on the go.
